Jen & Chris - La Champenoise Rougemont Wedding

When I first met Jen, I wanted to keep her. Not in a creepy way. Was it her sweet smile, her kind words? Yes. But also, something caught my attention. SHE... was in love. Like real, honest-to-goodness true love. As she talked about Chris <no wait, gushed>, how they met and how she knew he was the one, her conviction in love was something I highly value. I'm a cheeseball. I love this stuff. This is what I do! This is what I live for!

But wait, her fiance was no different.

When Chris listened to her tell 'their story' he couldn't contain his ear to ear grin. He adored every word she said. They were in sync. They cherished each other. And that was exactly what I wanted to document. I wanted to tell their story. To show that yes true respect and love go hand in hand. That after the vows are over you can continue on with this bond between two people. Is it work? Absolutely. However for them they made it seem effortless. As Jen put on her dress that day, she was beaming, unable to contain her excitement. Even though there was a downpour. (no wait, two or three) they didn't let it affect them. All day they were up for anything, having the best time with their wedding party. Chris and Jen included so many wonderful elements for their day. Not just for them. Because no, they're not like that. They also thought about their guests every step of the way. Including their 'bridal bodyguards' who all stood no taller than roughly 3 feet tall. To them, family and friends are their world and are what brought them together.

Chris also had a special surprise for his bride. He wrote her a song. Not just any song. You know how some people 'think' they can sing? And well, sure after a drink or two at a karaoke bar we can all sing. Move aside Celine Dion. But Chris REALLY can sing. He wrote her the most beautiful words, and even got some pretty awesome radio play on Chom 97.7 <--- CLICK on the link to hear it!

To nurture is to love. They clearly have something special that I have no doubt, they will care for for years to come. Today I told them that their images were ready. Today they told me it couldn't have come at a better time. Today they are headed to the hospital, to find out if they're having a little boy or a little girl. Today friends, love is alive and very, very well.

"And I'm gonna love you for the rest of my life..... And I get to call you, call you my wife"

Congratulations to two very, very beautiful human beings. Thank you for the incredible experience of photographing your day.
