In April of 2022, at the bustling LAX airport, our paths converged in an unexpected twist. Like a Harry met Sally but not. Ok too far too far. However here goes the story.
Maria, returning home after a lively bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs, was visibly unwell. Meanwhile, I was on my way back from capturing the joy of a friend's wedding in California. Seeing Maria feeling under the weather, I extended a small gesture of kindness by offering her a lozenge.
Little did we realize that this simple moment would set in motion a remarkable journey. Fast forward a year and a half later, the universe orchestrated another encounter between us, but this time under different circumstances. I had the honor of being chosen as Maria's photographer, ready to capture the moments that would weave into the tapestry of her special day.
It's peculiar how life's twists and turns can lead us down unexpected paths, connecting us in meaningful ways we could never foresee. In that moment of offering a simple little cough drop…at an airport no less, little did we know that it would pave the way for a beautiful collaboration to unfold, infusing our lives with shared memories and the profound magic of photography.
Maria and Josh decided to start their journey as a married couple with a bang by choosing to tie the knot on New Year's Eve at the beautiful Sacred Heart Venue, a former church turned into a stunning wedding location in downtown Sydney Cape Breton.
Their NYE wedding was a grand affair, a celebration filled with love and joy as they welcomed the new year surrounded by family and friends. Despite the cold December day, the atmosphere was warm and festive, creating a magical ambiance for the couple's special day.
One of the highlights of the day was the portrait session overlooking the ocean, where Maria and Josh, embraced by the breathtaking views, and we captured unforgettable moments that reflected the beginning of their new life together.
It was a day filled with laughter, tears, and unforgettable memories, marking the start of a new chapter in Maria and Josh's love story.
