Citadel Hill Halifax Wedding

Citadel Hill in Halifax is a dreamy spot for tying the knot, mate! Picture this: lush greenery, historic charm, and breathtaking views of the city and harbor – it's like something straight out of a fairy tale.

First off, let's talk ambiance. The place oozes romance with its old stone walls, winding pathways, and picturesque cannons dotting the landscape. It's got that perfect blend of natural beauty and historical significance that sets the stage for an unforgettable wedding day.

Nestled atop Citadel Hill, overlooking the charming city of Halifax and its historic harbor, this age old landmark provided the ideal backdrop for Erin and Ty's special day. As their photographer, I had the privilege of witnessing their love story unfold against this iconic Nova Scotian heritage location.

And oh, those views! You can't beat the panoramas of Halifax from up there. Whether you're saying your vows against the backdrop of a stunning sunset or dancing under the stars with the twinkling city lights below, it's bound to be pure magic.

Plus, there's something special about saying "I do" in a place with so much history. Your guests will be wowed by the unique setting, and you'll be making memories in a spot that's been a part of Halifax's story for centuries.

Their ceremony was intimate, with only closest friends and family gathered to witness their union including their 2 adorable children. Erin and Ty exchanged vows, their words echoing inside one of the historic sites artillery rooms. When one hears ‘barrack’ they may think ‘dark, dreary’ but it was everything opposite that as the white washed walls became illuminated with the sun pouring in.

And let's not forget the practical side of things. With plenty of space to accommodate your guests, both indoor and outdoor options, and easy access to amenities, Citadel Hill ticks all the boxes for a stress-free celebration. After Erin and Ty's vows we were able to take some family photos outside and then it was my favorite part, their portraits in this 168 year old fortress. It felt like we were playing on a old world playground. Seriously, every corner had a photo op with one composition looking totally different from the last

And as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting vibrant hues of orange and gold across the sky, I knew I had captured something truly special. Erin and Ty's love, immortalized in the golden glow of Citadel Hill, would be remembered for years to come through the timeless beauty of photography.

So, if you're looking for a wedding venue that's got charm, views, and a whole lot of character, Citadel Hill in Halifax is the place to be. Trust me, mate, it'll be a day you'll never forget!
