Juno Tower Wedding

Molly and Dean had a perfect wedding day that started off with going to the Juno Tower in Halifax to capture the men. Yes it was their turn first and they were happy and excited. Dean took some time to himself to open Molly’s card and gift. I have to say- I love seeing the groom get a little emotional. It’s just so endearing!

I had to rush across the bridge to document Molly and her girls getting ready at the Doubletree in Dartmouth. Everyone was in their satin robes and were ready, makeup perfectly done by Selena Marchand . So when I arrived they were anxious to get into their dresses. We decided to have fun and do some unique photos of the bridal party outside in the parking lot. I loved how these photos turned out!

One more trip back to Halifax to The Juno Tower where the rest of the day unfolded. With its historic charm and picturesque views, it provided a beautiful backdrop for Molly and Dean's special day. The tower's unique ambiance offered plenty of opportunities for photos, capturing every moment of love and joy shared between Molly and Dean as they exchange vows surrounded by family and friends.

After the ceremony, guests could enjoy a delightful cocktail hour within the tower and that’s when we whisked off for some photos on the property with the entire bridal party.

But I forgot to mention to you something that struck me earlier in the day when I was doing the getting ready photos with Dean. You see, Halifax has 2 bridges that you can cross to get in and out of the city. ONE of which was closed. I thought to myself- ok wait. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Will I catch it or just let it slip? (see what I did there?)

WE CAUGHT IT.

Basically we had the goal to incorporate the closure of the MacDonald Bridge for repairs into Molly and Dean's wedding day.

As Molly and Dean's wedding party headed back to the Juno Tower for cocktail hour, myself and the excited couple jumped into the vehicle and yes, we seized the chance to capture once-in-a-lifetime portraits against the backdrop of the iconic structure.

Under the soft milky clouds, Molly and Dean stood hand in hand on the deserted bridge, the towering pillars and steel cables framing them. And yes, while a closed bridge initially seemed like an inconvenience, it actually became a cherished part of their wedding day, adding spontaneity and adventure to their story.

The closure of the MacDonald Bridge, rather than hindering their plans, becomes a symbol of the unique and unforgettable moments that make their wedding day truly special. And I am so excited I was there to capture it!

Dean dips Molly for an epic kiss on the closed MacDonald Bridge in Halifax Nova Scotia.
