Bent Ridge Winery Wedding | Jennifer & Cam | Windsor NS
Jennifer and Cam’s wedding at Bent Ridge Winery in Windsor, Nova Scotia was a windy but beautiful November day in the Annapolis Valley.
As you’ll see, some weddings feel calm and slow. Others arrive with a bit of wild Nova Scotia energy — wind included. Jennifer and Cam’s November wedding at Bent Ridge Winery was exactly both if you can believe it.
The kind of day where the air is crisp, the vines have already shed most of their leaves, and the wind rolling through the Annapolis Valley gives everything a little extra movement. Yet Jen and Cam were calm, gently focused on each other the entire day. They were the perfect compliment to the moody weather.
And that moody weather? It made the photos even better.
A Late-Fall Wedding in Windsor, Nova Scotia
November weddings in the Annapolis Valley have a very specific feel. The vineyards are quiet, the colours are muted, and the landscape takes on this soft, earthy palette that photographs beautifully.
Jennifer and Cam leaned into that atmosphere perfectly.
Instead of trying to fight the season, they embraced it — cozy layers, windswept moments, and a relaxed approach to the day. The wind coming across the vineyard added movement to Jennifer’s dress and veil, which created some really striking portraits out among the rows of vines.
Sometimes the weather gives you a gift you weren’t expecting.

Best Photo Locations at Bent Ridge Winery
One of the reasons couples love Bent Ridge Winery in Windsor, Nova Scotia is the setting. The vineyard sits right in the Annapolis Valley with wide open views, rolling hills, and rows of vines and fruit trees that create natural texture for photos in every direction.
It’s the kind of venue that works beautifully in almost any season.
In the summer you get lush green vines and golden sunsets. In the fall and early winter, like Jennifer and Cam’s wedding, the landscape becomes more minimal and moody — which pairs perfectly with the architecture and the vineyard setting.
They have a section that is on a small hill with apple trees- and that was where we did their first look. It was absolutely perfect with the cute little swing attached to a tree. Almost like a painting!
From a photography perspective, it’s a dream location because everything is close together. You can move quickly between indoor and outdoor spaces, which is especially helpful when the weather decides to bring a little extra personality.
An Outdoor Ceremony — Wind and All
One thing Jennifer and Cam were certain about from the beginning was having their ceremony outside at Bent Ridge Winery. Even with the chilly November air and a steady wind rolling through the vineyard, they stuck to their plan.
And honestly, it was worth it.
The vineyard landscape in late fall has a quiet beauty to it — open skies, rows of vines stretching out behind the ceremony space, and that crisp Nova Scotia air that makes everything feel a little more alive. Guests bundled up in coats and scarves while the wind moved gently through the vines, creating a moment that felt natural and completely fitting for the setting.
It wasn’t perfectly still or warm, but it felt real — and that’s often what makes a ceremony memorable. Jennifer and Cam leaned into the moment, exchanging their vows surrounded by the Annapolis Valley landscape they had chosen in the first place.
Sometimes sticking to your original plan is exactly the right call.
As things transitioned from outside to inside, the warm and soft glow of the space gave the intimacy and coziness we were all looking for.
The food simple, though lacking nothing. And the flavor of the brick oven pizzas had us all coming back for more. They were perfectly paired with the wineries Red and White wine options which were a crowd favorite.
Jen and Cam understood how they wanted their day not just to look, but more importantly how it should feel. There was no pressure to manufacture perfect moments, just a couple enjoying their day with the people closest to them. I think the photos reflect that and quite honestly, that approach always translates into better photographs.
