I’m going to do my best and not make this wedding blog post about me. Because I realize it’s truly not about me. Honestly though, I love these two so freakin’ much. They have added so much to my life. So much love, so much happiness…. so much friendship. Soon after my second encounter with Brittney we bonded so quickly, forging a friendship that will undoubtedly stand the test of time.
And Madrix. Darling, kind, sweet, humble and ever-so-dashing Madrix. He’s like a second brother to me, and has proven to be beyond loyal and faithful not only to Brittney but to all his friends and family. I have such complete respect for the man. And I have not a stitch of doubt that he is taking, has taken, and will continue to take amazing care of his gorgeous bride.
Ok enough ‘gushing.’ (it’s what I do, okay?)
Their pre-wedding preparations were held in the beautiful and classy Westin in the Old Port, where they both got ready and had their first look. We had so much fun photographing them and their upbeat bridal party in the stunning Centre Du Commerce just around the corner. From there Brittney and Madrix battled the crazy snow and wind as we did their portraits outside followed by a delicious dinner put on by Steak Et Frites. I was loving so much about this wedding already. And it only got better after their ceremony where the crowd danced unlike any crowd I've ever seen at a wedding to the insatiable beats of Mr Brandon Orchard. The Galerie MX is an innnncredible location to have a wedding reception. Just incredible. Brittney and Madrix transformed the venue into an art show not just of the art already gracing the walls, but of some images that we took for their engagement session. It was a perfect way to incorporate a fabulous creative venue with images that represented them and their love for each other. The day was truly about them and everyone there was ready to celebrate, ready to love and ready to absorb all the goodness that comes from a truly happy and in-love couple.
Thanks to our second shooter- Kelvin Gooding who took sooo many amazing dancing shots, so I could actually dance :)
