Golden Hour Engagement - Andrea & Sean Montreal E-Session Photography

We originally said 7am. Yep. SEVEN O'CLOCK in the morning. Am I crazy? Well yeah. But as a photographer, we care about light. Good light. See, when photographing a wedding, we have no control at all of the forcast. It rains, the wedding goes on. It is so bright you can't even see? Photos still happen. It's our job, and we better do it right. When it comes to the engagement session however, there is a bit more flexibility. So why on earth then would I choose 7am if - as I said - we're more flexible?

Two words. GOLDEN.HOUR.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, when your photographer ask you to wake up at an ungodly hour, trust them. Because they do know a thing or two about when is the best time to photograph you. The light at golden hour (1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening) is the best. It's luxurious..... warm. Doesn't pierce into your retinas. And yes, it makes you look even better than you already are ;).

Fortunately for Andrea and Sean, we all decided that we'd make a 6pm Golden Hour switcheroo, still enjoying that blessed light, minus the bags under all our eyes :). The results? See for yourself.

So if you're looking to book an engagement session with us, don't hesitate to let us know if you're interested in Golden Hour photos. It's fun, golden and if you book us at 7am, we can go for breakfast after ;)
